4G Coming To India Already?

A major part of the country's users have still not upgraded to 3G. Heck! They don't even possess a compatible phone, but here we have a very brave, Bharti Airtel launching 4G services in Chandigarh exclusively.

Airtel has signed a deal with the famous Chinese company ZTE to setup its systems in Chandigarh.
Once the service starts, it will offer internet speeds of around 100 MB/ps while in motion and around 1 GB/ps while at a fixed location.
Its expected to bring about a revolution in the world of information sharing, but then the subscribers will have to pay the price too.

"We are planning to launch 4G in Chandigarh by end of March and have finalised ZTE for the network," said a company source.

Well, lets just hope that it does not turn out to be like the introduction of 3G.

We expect more and more service providers to switch to 4G soon.
