Yesterday, The Korean giant, Samsung finally unveiled its brand new flagship - the Galaxy S IV - after a lot of teasing over the board.
The Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan was packed to the brim as everyone waited anxiously for Samsung to "lift the curtains".

The final specs of S IV are-

5-inch full-HD (1080x1920) Super AMOLED display (441 ppi)
1.9GHz quad-core processor/ 1.6GHz octa-core processor (Depending upon region)
2GB RAM
16/32/64 GB Storage (expandable by 64GB via microSD slot)
13-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, IR LED, MHL 2.0
Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean)
2,600 mAh battery
136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9mm
130 grams

Samsung is a synonym for Innovation *wink wink*, so with this phone, it claims to have pioneered eye motion detection.
With "smart pause" and "smart scroll" Samsung says it reaches beyond just touch.

Apart from this, the phone can translate text-to-speech into nine different languages, "enabling you to communicate with your friends worldwide" says a senior at the enterprise.

Looking just like its little brother of SIII (thanks to the 5" screen), the S IV does have a premium look in it with the metal side linings. Also, flash below the camera always looks nice - that being taken from the original Galaxy Note.

Lets just hope that this phone lives upto the expectations of everyone the world over and serves as efficiently as the specs suggests and continues the brand name of the Galaxy S series of smart phones, giving tough competition to the Apple iPhone 5!

Good luck chum!

Atlast Samsung has unpacked a video of the Galaxy S IV but the video does not give any idea of the phone. As we have informed you this morning, the Galaxy S IV was tested on Antutu Benchmarks and you can see the phone's specifications here.

The trailer is titled ‘Be ready 4 the next Galaxy’ and features Jeremy, the secret messenger of Samsung Unpacked 2013. The worst thing in the video is that this video does not have a single glimpse of this phone!

Rumors have been swirling around the Samsung Galaxy S4. Among the features that might come to the device is an eight-core Exynos processor, a separate eight-core graphics processing unit, a 4.99-inch Super Amoled display, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capability, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and the latest version of Android, known as 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
--Vedang Parmar

It seems that the 8-core Exynos processor has been confirmed. According to Antutu, someone registered a new phone of Samsung which is the GT-I9500. They also told that this device is indeed the Galaxy S IV, you view what Antutu told us here.

All features of the Galaxy S IV have been confirmed via this benchmark test. The device will indeed come with an Exynos Octa 5410 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz. This means that unlike the latest devices which have a quad-core processor, the S IV comes with eight-cores thus making it much more faster. For graphics it has PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU chip. It has also 2GB of RAM, 4.99-inch Full HD (1920×1080) screen and a 13 Megapixel Camera. It runs Android 4.2.

So we don't know what will be its price but we are sure that it isn't going to be in budget category. The Galaxy S IV will launch on 14 March in New York.

Samsung is going to launch their new Galaxy S device which is the S IV. They are going to release this device on March 14.

The new Galaxy S model is expected to feature a higher-resolution display and camera than its predecessor, as well as a faster quad-core processor, media reports said.
Samsung Electronics unveiled its first Galaxy S during the CTIA mobile trade show in the United States in 2010, followed by the Galaxy S II at the MWC fair in Spain in 2011 and the Galaxy S III in London last year.

The specifications and mobile shown in the image are only rumoured. They are not supposed to be real.

Samsung is ruling the world with its famous Galaxy S series of smartphones. Most of these are flagship models by the tech-giant and run on Android OS from Google, as suggests their "Galaxy" tag.

Latest in from this was the Galaxy S III launched in May, last year, which attracted a lot of buyers around the globe and satisfied all their needs not just as a phone but a lot more.

Since then, everyone has been eagerly waiting for the next up, Galaxy S IV, and rumors have it that its expected on the 14th day of the month of March, this very year.

The famous blog/fan club of the firm, SamMobile claims to have got the specs leaked from their contacts inside. If the claimed specs are to be true, then the expected phone should be no less than a full laptop packed in a small deal.

Running on Android 4.2 (also Jellybean), this phone is expected to possess a massive power house within. Combined with a 2GB RAM, the quad-core 2Ghz Cortex A-15 processor will definitely prove to be the beast of multitasking and butterness. A full HD screen, 13MP autofocus camera with LED flash, 2G,3G,4G LTE, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0....man...this phone can easily out-do my Dell.

And believe it or not, these are just SOME of the specifications leaked. A lot more is yet to be revealed.

The phone will run on a 2600mAh juicer and will have the regular SIII and Note-2-like features. With, 140.1 x 71.8 x 7.7 mm dimensions and weighing 138 gram, this phone will be the 8th Wonder of the world!

Now what we are waiting for is the showdown between the HTC One and the SIV. May the best creation win.

Samsung electronics has cut down the price of its Galaxy Camera which was available at Rs. 29,900 in past but is now available for Rs.26,520. And suprisingly, this Camera was just launched 2 months before, and the first time, Samsung has cut down price of any Galaxy product this early.

The Android-powered Samsung Galaxy Camera comes with a 16.3-megapixel CMOS sensor, 21x optical zoom and a 23mm wide-angle lens. The Galaxy camera has a 4.8-inch HD Super Clear Touch Display and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

The camera gets 8GB of internal storage along with a micro-SD card slot for storage expansion. This device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the camera offers all the Android goodness which a phone gives you and you can download any of the 700,000 Apps available on the Google Play Store.

We don't know why Samsung has does it but the major issue for this can be that Samsung is launching a WiFi variant of this Camera. The WiFi variant will not have 3G which this device is having. But we not have any information about what will be the price of the WiFi variant and when will it launch but its price should be less than WiFi+3G variant.

Samsung has started rolling out the latest android system (jelly bean), to the users of the Galaxy Note. This news was confirmed by its official blog. They said, “The Galaxy Note is Samsung’s first Phablet device and has a very large user base that’s why Samsung keeps on updating this device with all the new Android versions as they want to provide the Galaxy Note users with their best support experience.”

So, now the Galaxy Note will be on par with its successor Galaxy Note 2 as Some of the Enhancements in the new Jelly Bean Update include Multi-View (Multi Windows Multitasking, like in the Note II), a customisable notification Panel, smart rotation, as well as new Widgets From the Galaxy S III.

Samsung has done an excellent job of keeping us in the dark regarding the forthcoming Galaxy S IV launch dates, but the folks over at SamMobile seem to have locked in an announcement date of March 15.
However, previous reports suggesting that the Galaxy S IV would be available in stores by mid-April may not be dead-on. According to SamMobile’s sources, Europe and Asia will get the flagship Android smartphone in the beginning of April, while America, Australia and Africa won’t get their hands on the GS4 until May or June.
The Galaxy S III, last year’s model, launched in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia before it hit store shelves in the U.S. The same is true for the Galaxy S II before it, so these rumors (while disappointing to us in the U.S.) seem to line up with historical evidence.
We’ve received no invitations from Samsung regarding any March 15 event, but they have plenty of time before invitations need to go out. Samsung will be attending MWC, but it would appear that they’ve reserved that event for the 8-inch Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet.
Plus, the Galaxy S IV (the latest in a line that has brought Samsung to the top of mobile) probably deserves its own dedicated event. Just like the Galaxy S III got a massive unveiling at a London Unpacked event last year.
As far as we know, the Galaxy S IV is set to be one of the best specs phones on the market, with a 1.8GHz Exynos 5 Octa eight-core processor, a 5-inch 440ppi display, Qi Wireless charging and a 13-megapixel camera to name a few.

South Korean fire officials say a man suffered burns after the battery from a Samsung smartphone caught fire in his trouser pocket.
Officials at Bupyeong Fire Station in Incheon city said Wednesday the lithium-ion battery was not in the phone when it caught fire. Such batteries are quick to charge but prone to overheating.
The man suffered second-degree burns and a one inch wound on his thigh from Saturday's incident.
Chosun Ilbo newspaper reported the battery from the 2011 Galaxy Note exploded but fire officials couldn't confirm that.
Officials declined to identify the man. Samsung said no investigation was planned.
It is the second known time in a year in South Korea that a Samsung smartphone battery has caught fire.

South Korean electronics maker Samsung has now planned to launch a fridge with a built-in Android tablet and an internet-connected washing machine by the end of the year.

The Samsung refrigerator with Android tablets will help people keep track of ingredients, order groceries and act as baby monitors using built-in cameras.

The company’s flagship washing machines can be controlled remotely using mobile apps, the Telegraph reports.

Russell Owens, Samsung’s head of sales for digital appliances, said the T9000 refrigerator and the 12kg washing machine would be available in Britain later in the year.

Samsung’s flagship web-connected home appliances have previously been available in North America and Asia, but have not been available in Europe.

The T9000 refrigerator was launched at CES in Las Vegas in January.

According to the paper, Samsung suggested that the built-in Evernote application could allow busy couples to share shopping lists as soon as they ran out of something.

Laptops have changed dramatically in the past few months and nowadays, touchscreen computers are the new normal. Touch technology seems to be replacing the need for the point-and-click mouse or physical keyboard. Microsoft's touch-oriented Windows 8 operating system has spurred a remarkable amount of innovation in laptop design, but still there are many users who would like to maintain the traditional common input methods such as keyboard and mouse in their touchscreen devices, right? Especially those who have to do a lot of writing on their laptop?
Samsung has jumped wholeheartedly into the touch arena with newly-unveiled Windows 8 based smart devices in the Indian market. In its R64,990-a-piece Notebook Series 5 ULTRA Touch, the South Korean tech major has keep the above mentioned touch-cum-keyboard user requirement in mind. This is the company's first touch-enabled ultrabook and is designed for a more intuitive use along with powerful performance and plenty of storage. It is packed with a 13.3-inch HD SuperBright 10-finger multi-touchscreen and 3rd generation Intel Core processor.
A metallic titan notebook computer (NP540U3C—A01IN) was sent across to us for a review. Available in 13.3-inch, the Series 5 ULTRA Touch comes with up to 3rd generation Intel Core i7-3517U processor, 12 GB memory, 500 GB storage and 24 GB ExpressCache system, ensuring a good user experience that customers desire in any scenario. That's not all: 10-15% more efficient CPU processing, plus 2x faster media processing and 3D rendering, fast boot in less than 20 seconds, wake-up in two seconds and faster Web-browsing are just some of many examples the Series 5 ULTRA Touch can deliver.

Samsung just announced another smartphone sales milestone: its Galaxy S series has passed channel sales (or sales to retailers, not end users) of more than 100 million units since launching in May 2010, the Korean conglomerate announced via its Flickr stream. The sales were driven in large part by the series’ flagship Galaxy S3:
Samsung Electronics’ flagship Galaxy S series surpassed the accumulated sales record of 100 million units from the supply side in only 2 years and 7 months after its launch in May 2010. Galaxy S III is selling at much faster rate of 30 million in 5 months and 40 million in 7 months, after becoming a million seller in only 50 days after its release last May. Currently, its average daily sales are 190,000 units. The driving force behind Samsung Electronics’ rise to the top on the global smartphone market is Galaxy S II which is gaining ground as a steady seller hitting the sales of over 40 million in only 20 months.
Last week, Samsung issued its preliminary earnings guidance for Q4, saying that it expected a record quarter with consolidated profit of around 8.8 trillion Korean won ($8.3 billion), on consolidated sales of approximately 56 trillion Korean won ($53.6 billion). The Q4 figure compares to 8.06 trillion Korean won in the previous quarter, and 4.66 trillion Korean won in the year ago quarter. Samsung’s winning streak of five record quarters in a row, however, could end in Q1 on weaker seasonal demand for its smartphones, due in part to markets in emerging countries reaching saturation.
Samsung reportedly hopes, however, that it will ship 510 million phones in 2013, or 20 percent more mobile phones than it did in 2012. This is an optimistic goal based on a report from research firm Gartner,  which estimates that Samsung will actually ship closer to 300 million smartphones.

Samsung today took the wraps off an 8-core processor known as the Exynos 5 Octa.
Stephen Woo, president of Samsung’s System LSI business, said during a keynote address here at CES that the Exynos 5 Octa will offer a “level of pure processing power never before seen in a mobile device.”
The Exynos 5 Octa is an eight-core SoC destined for tablets and high-end smartphones.
Not all of these CPU cores are created equal: four of them are high-performance Cortex-A15 cores, the very same found in the Exynos 5 Dual that powers the Nexus 10 and Samsung’s ARM Chromebook. The other four are Cortex-A7 CPU cores—these have the same feature set and capabilities as the A15 cores, but are optimized for power efficiency rather than performance.
This makes the Exynos 5 Octa one of the first products to actually use ARM’s big.LITTLE processor switching technology. The SoC is designed to dynamically split the workload between the high-performance and the high-efficiency CPU cores based on the task at hand—less strenuous activities like browsing an app store or checking e-mail might be done on the A7 cores, for instance, while gaming and number crunching could be handed off to the A15 cores.
Both sets of cores are said to work in tandem together and offer great speeds without compromising on battery consumption. This differs from Nvidia’s Tegra 3 and Tegra 4 SoCs, which include a low-power Cortex-A9 and a Cortex-A15 (respectively) “companion core” that can only be used when all of the SoC’s other CPU cores are powered down
The new SoC will be manufactured using a 28nm process as opposed to the 32nm process used by the Exynos 5 Dual, hence claiming to be more power-efficient. According to Samsung, the SoC can deliver twice the performance of quad-core Exynos CPUs, while using 70 percent less power.
What Samsung has not yet revealed is when the first devices running the Exynos 5 Octa will be available on the market, nor at what cost.
