If you are still falling for the Canvas 5-inchers from Micromax, particularly the budget quad-core phone Canvas HD, do cross-check the price of the phone before buying the phone.

After a long wait, finally the Canvas HD has appeared in stores in enough numbers for everyone who wants to buy one.

Along with the quad-core phone, the company has recently launched its the budget Canvas A72 Viva, which is the best phone available in its price range.

At a few store we have spotted the Canvas A116 HD, A110 Canvas 2 and Canvas A72 Viva at higher prices than their official price.

At Flipkart especially we found that the store is offering Canvas A116 HD and Canvas 2 at Rs.1500 and Rs.500 more respectively. Infibeam is selling the Canvas A72 Viva at Rs.300 more.

The orignal price of these phones are listed as below:

Micromax A72 Canvas Viva – Rs 6499
Micromax A110 Canvas 2 – Rs 10499
Micromax A116 canvas HD – Rs 14499

Twitter user MMX Newscaster has again posted some Micromax relates images. The user has put some images of the Micromax Canvas A111 smartphone. As you can see in the image, the A111 is a Dual-Sim phone and also has a slot for Micro-SD card on the left.

Leaked specifications of the A111 suggests that the smartphone will sport a 5.3-inch qHD (960x540) 5 point multitouch display which would be even usable with gloves on.

The smartphone is expected to be running on Android 4.1 Jelly bean, and powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8225Q  processor paired with 512MB of RAM. It is also expected to come with 4GB of internal storage, along with a micro-SD card slot for storage expansion.

There is no details about pricing of this phone but we think that the phone will be priced about 10,000 INR or above.

-4GB internal storage, expandable by 32GB via microSD card
-3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Voice calling
-2-megapixel rear camera VGA front camera
-Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
-3,200mAH battery

The Micromax A115 Canvas 3D, which appeared in some leaked images last week is now officially listed online on Saholic, But no detail of availability is listed there, it's just listed as "Coming Soon".

Also, now we have the complete list of specifications of this upcoming smartphone.

According to the listed specs, the phone will have a 5-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. The smartphone will be powered by a 1 GHz Dual-Core MediaTek MT6577 processor, which is the same that powers the Canvas 2. The processor will be paired with 1 GB of RAM.

The phone will have a 8 megapixel rear camera with a  Dual-LED flash and a 2 megapixel secondary camera.

Well, the idea of an 3D smartphone is surely an interesting move by micromax but as we have said you earlier, most of the 3D smartphones haven't been successful. But the advantage Micromax has is that this device will be priced around 15,000 Indian Rupees but most of the "3D" smartphones have been around 30,000 to 40,000 INR.

Micromax has officially launched the A72 Canvas Viva and the price decided is Rs.6,499. We expected a much more lower price than it.

The specifications of the A72 does not impress us and we thought it to be priced at 5,000 or below it, so it can become a great success in the market and to also the best lower budget phone in the smartphone competition.

To see our full article on Canvas Viva, Click Here. After the launch, there are many rumours coming out about the A115 Canvas 3D. To see the leaked images and quick specifications of the Canvas 3D, Click Here.

We must recommend Micromax to make the Canvas phones as they were making before and to price it as per the specifications. Well, Rs.6,499 is not a bad deal for the Canvas Viva but its also not the best!

After the rumours of the Micromax A115 Canvas 3D smartphone surfaced yesterday, we today have the news of another Canvas smartphone from Micromax which has popped up online. The Micromax A72 Canvas Viva has been spotted on the popular online shopping website, Flipkart. No information is there with us about the pricing of this device. But we think that this will be a budget device as its specs does not impress us in any means.

Quick Specifications of Micromax A72 Canvas Viva:

-5 inch WVGA display

-1GHz processor, 256MB RAM

-512MB internal storage (110MB user available), micro-SD card slot

-3MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera

-dual-SIM

-Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread

-EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi

-2,000mAh battery

As we move on to its detailed specs, the Micromax A72 Canvas Viva has a resolution of 800x400 pixels but is not comparable to any of the Canvas devices which have come in past because all of those devices had a more resolution than the Canvas Viva.

The smartphone is powered by a 1 GHz processor and has only 256 MB of RAM, which we think would not be enough to handle this phone for gaming but would only be able to do simple gaming.

Coming to the storage, we have only 512 MB of internal storage and from that, only 110 MB is allotted to the user which is very disappointing. But we need not to worry because it is the memory expandable upto 32 GB by an microSD card.

At the back the phone has an 3 megapixel camera along with a 0.3 megapixel camera at the front.

It comes with a dual sim card slots, but its again disappointing that none of them support 3G connectivity.

The Canvas Viva runs a much older OS which is the Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. We expected atleast Android 4.0.4 (Ice Creamed Sandwich).

The Smartphone houses 2,000 mAh of battery which promises a talk time of 7 hours. Which is not bad for a 5 inch smartphone.

Looking at the specs of the Canvas Viva, it dosen't seems impressive like the other Canvas Devices and we expect this phone to be priced around 4,000 to 6,000 INR. If this device comes under 5,000 INR, it would be a great deal for those who are looking for a budget smartphone.

After the great success of the Canvas HD, it seems that Micromax is working on their new device, The Canvas 3D.

Twitter user @MMXNewscaster has posted some images which shows us the upcoming Micromax Canvas 3D phone. It bears a model number "A115". It looks quite similar to the present generation of the Micromax's Canvas series Smartphones.

The phone is expected to be having a resolution on 800x480 and is rumoured to be powered by a Dual Core MediaTek MT6577 processor which is the same as on the Canvas 2.

The leaked images show that the phone is having Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and will have an 8 megapixel Camera with dual LED and also a 2 megapixel front facing camera.

It has a single camera in the back which means the phone won't be able to capture 3D videos but will only able to render images in 3D.

Well its interesting that most of the 3D Smartphones of brands like LG and HTC have come in the price range of above 30,000 but the Canvas 3D is expected to be somewhere at 15,000 price range.

So, we have no information when the smartphone will come to india but we think its the final version of the phone so we expect this phone to be soon available to the Indian market.

As we have got our hands on this device we feel it very nice and premium in hand and it does look like some HTC devices to some extent. It has many things packed in this device, more than you can expect from a device from this price value. It is a phone which has a lot of demand in india as well as in other countries whom Micromax is serving to. So lets talk about the phone and its features:
The Quad Core Mediatek MT6589 chipset seems more refined in the retail version, and the Canvas HD seems a lot more responsive. Other things include 1 GB Ram, 32 GB expandability and a 4 GB of storage out of which 1.77GB has been assigned to the Int-SD card. so you have 1.77 GB available to spend. The front camera on the Micromax A116 Canvas HD is now a 2 MP shooter and a 8 MP main camera which shoots Full HD video, that is 1080p. The most prominent feature of the Canvas HD is the 720p Display, which is exceptionally bright and viewable outdoors.
If you talk about battery, its battery can run a full day if your usage is less, but if you have more usage it runs over half day.
The phone can run many premium games like N.O.V.A.3, Asphalt 7,etc. and is suprisingly smooth as far as gaming is concerned.
It is capable of capturing full HD videos but it only make good videos if there is light environment. It shoot fair at night but if you see the video afterwards, it does not seems like its 1080p. But if you shoot in a light environment in morning or afternoon, it is fairly capable of capturing videos.
Well its the best option available to buy in this price range and i personally recommend to buy this phone and enjoy all its features that it come loaded up!
So guys we will come out with a full proper review soon. And we will also upload some videos of this phone. So you guys stay tuned.

Full Review Pending

After Micromax had launched the Canvas HD, everyone was attracted like a magnet to it. This phone packs up 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor, 1 GB RAM, 1280x720 Pixel Display and lot more features at only 13990.

This phone was launched at 14th Feb and it had a sales of about 25 Units every minute. It sold about 9,000-10,000 Units on that day. But i don't understand that after they have got this much sales, why don't they manufacture extra or more phones!

The Micromax A110 was a great hit but hit was hardly seen in any stores. So we expected that the A116 would not have supply problems and will be easily available. But its not like that. The A116 will come in Indian Retail stores after 25th of Feb. And the one who can give us this phone was the Micromax's Partner, Snap Deal. But there too it is "SOLD OUT".

I think if Micromax wants to earn a lot of money they have to make a lot of phones and they also have to make them available in every indian store at the release date only. Well never than less, those who have got it are enjoying but those who Haven't are still booking it and waiting for another 20 days to pass on.

Well for those who haven't got this phone, i want to say you that, "The Fruit Of Patience Is Sweet" So wait for another 20 days and enjoy after your A116 comes and the Delivery man rings your bell!

At last, we were right about the success of the Micromax Canvas HD. Micromax has announced that they have sold 9,000 units of the Canvas HD. And this phone was available this thursday and is one of the most awaited phones of the year.

Snapdeal told that lot of devices had been sold in the first 15 minutes of launch that is on 14th February. As by our sources, we have come to know that the maximum sell was in the noon of Valentines day that is 14 February.

The micromax also got an order of 9,000 units. They said,"After the unprecedented success of the Canvas 2, we are overwhelmed with the customer response for Canvas HD. This is the first time our online sales partners have ever witnessed a digital queue in cyberspace to such an extent for any product,”  said Shubhodip Pal, CMO Micromax. We expect that this phone should be available in all retail stores all over india soon."

The A116 on the valentines day had the booking speed of 25 units per minute. That is a great thing! We expect micromax to launch more fabulous devices like the A116.

.

The company is releasing a lot of smartphones and this smartphones and the latest and i think, the best smartphone is the Micromax Canvas A116

The Lava Xolo A1000 has gone for sale at Rs 13,999. It is a great competitor for the Micromax A116 Canvas HD. The Canvas HD is available in the market for Rs.13,990. So both are at the similar or at the same price. Well I believe that the Micromax is more famous brand than the Lava so there would be more sale of the Canvas HD. But if the Canvas HD goes a hit, there would be one more reason for it which is the Micromax A110. This phone was a great hit in the market, but because of some supply problems of Micromax, this phone was "Rarely" found in any stores.

The Lava Xolo A1000 sports a 5-inch IPS display that has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by a 1GHz MediaTek NT6577 dual-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM and comes with 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a micro-SD card by up to 32GB.

The phablet gets a dual-SIM card slot (GSM + GSM) and houses an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera for video calling. For connectivity, the Lava Xolo A1000 gets Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB. The phablet also has a 2,100mAh battery which according to the company, can give a talk time of up to 14 hours on 2G network and 10 hours on 3G network.

Hence, it can compared to the A116 by Micromax and it also have the same sort of specs. But one thing the A116 has and this phone doesn't have is the Quad Core Processor. More ever, since both of the devices are at similar rate, now you have to decide which device to take and spend your money.
