Nikon Releases Its New Photogenic Beauty

MD Nikon India, Mr. Hiroshi Takashina along with the brilliant Raghu Rai launched the DX-format D7100 on Saturday for the Indian market. Bringing the new 24.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor, the new dSLR also has an EXPEED 3 processor on boards. It also has 51 AF points with 15 stops having cross-type focus
A new addition (rather exclusion) is the non availability of the OLPF filter which is generally used to minimise moiré effect or scenes with repeating patterns, but its presence dulls the sharpness. Thus, NIkon proudly claims that the D7100 will have a very crisp sharpness
There is also an option of adding a new gig called 1.3 DX crop mode, which enables one to "extend" the length of his lens technologically.
It will be available by April at a price of about Rs. 79,450 (body).
