Airtel’s new 3G data plan enables data sharing between 3 devices
The Indian telecom giant Airtel has introduced a new 3G data plan, which allows a subscriber to share his data plan with any two other Airtel numbers, which can be either prepaid or postpaid. Thus, a single 3G data plan can simultaneously be shared between three different devices.
The new data plans costs Rs.1000 per month and 3 different devices can cumulatively use up to 5GB of 3G data beyond which, they can have unlimited access to the internet at speeds of up to 80KB/s. The only condition on this data plan is that all the three Airtel numbers should be located in the same telecom circle.
To activate this data plan, subscribers can head over to airtel.in/datashare and follow the instructions there.
A while back, Reliance Communications too had launched it’s ‘All Share Postpaid Plan’ which enabled it’s customers to share 3000 mins of lolcal/STD voice calls, 3000 local/national SMS, 3GB of 3G data and also, unlimited local calls within the group. This plan was priced at Rs.1,497.
Although, as compared to RCom’s plan, the data plan from Airtel does not offer any voice calls or SMS but still, will be quite beneficial for the subscribers and their family members who can share a single data plan. It seems that when Airtel said ” Jo tera hai wo mera”, they literally meant it!
